Do hair salons cut people's hair?

Where would you recomend for a 14 year old kid to go and get a haircut that want's his hair choppy and longer type...?

I never went to a haircutter place before. I always had my older sister cutting it and she does a really bad job! So..which one, barber or salon?Do hair salons cut people's hair?
go to a barber those are more for kids and a lot cheaper and quicker and usually you can just walk-in but they know what they are doing lolDo hair salons cut people's hair?
You can go to either. Barbers are for men, salons are for both men and women. If you want a special kind of cut then go to a salon. Both barbershops and salons offer walk-ins nowadays.
go to the hair salon

i doubt that the barber would know how to do choppy layer type of things since its more of a type of women type of thing
umm go to supercuts ;]
My opinion is that it is more suitable at this point in time to visit a barber as you have never before have your hair cut outside home. The service there is on a more simple level than a salon. Service is comfortable and faster and less costly.

Nowadays most salons are bi-sexual, serving both male and female. The salons also do fancier stuffs like colouring, bleaching, perming and a whole lot of hair enhancing matters. Usually it is more expensive even for a hair cut compared to the barber who can do a really good job on your hair if you tell him exactly what you want.
go to supercuts, those are the only haircuts they do there and its always better than having your sister do it :)
A barber is a little less fancy than a salon usually. But there's really not a difference.

For a 14 year old boy I'd probably say barber.
