First time at hair salon, is the shampoo/finish included in the price of the cut?

Here is what their website says about prices:

Cuts

International茅 Master Director $50.

Master Styles Director 45.

Master Designer 40.

Senior Designer 35.

Basics

Consultation free

Shampoo %26amp; Finish* only

short 25.

med 30.

long 35.

* Price may increase according to length of hair

My hair is long, about bra strap length, and I want to get it cut short (at least above my shoulders, but probably chin length or shorter). So does this chart mean I will have to pay extra for a shampoo or is it included in the price? And if I do, will I pay for long or short hair shampoo?

Also, I was curious if I should opt for the $50, would it make a difference in the quality of service?

I'm sorry I'm so hopelessly ignorant. Thanks!First time at hair salon, is the shampoo/finish included in the price of the cut?
You should call to confirm, but the 25/30/35 for short/med/long seems to apply if you get only a shampoo and finish. If you're having your long hair cut off, they may even brush it out, braid it dry, and snip the braid above your shoulders before shampooing it. Either way, you shouldn't have to pay for a long-hair shampoo.

The higher-priced stylist may be worth it since you're going in for a major change and aren't sure what you want. Cutting off your long hair is a big step and something you likely won't do again, and the stylist can help you find a short style that will suit you. You want to be confident in the advice you get, and they can help reassure you that a short or even very short cut is the right choice. When you go back for maintenance cuts in the future, you might use the cheaper stylist since they are just maintaining a style not creating it.

Good luck. Short hair will feel so light and freeing after having long hair.

Well, Im not quite sure. Most places I go to do not include a shampoo in the price of the cut. You should call them and ask to make sure.

Also, if you are getting a cut only... you could go with any of the 4. But if you do more complicated looks... its best to pay for the best to get something you are satisfied with.
