I'm guessing the question is based around it being the owner of the salon. I'd treat her the same as any of her staff, and therefore I'd tip.Do you tip the owner of a hair salon when she cuts your hair?

No, you don't. I was told this by the owner of a salon. Although, I'm not so sure this is a universally excepted principle.
